Hi, I'm Artoosh.

I've been flying paragliders for over 17 years, and teaching them for most of that time. I'm an international APPI Master paragliding instructor, an R&D test pilot for Sky Paragliders, and a competition acro pilot — but honestly, what I care about most is watching a nervous first-timer land their first flight, or a pilot who's flown for years finally understand why their wing does what it does.

I fly every SIV, Acro and XC course myself, alongside you — not from a boat with a megaphone. That's how I coach: close enough to talk you through it in real time, and honest enough to tell you when you're ready for the next step and when you're not.

The Journey

How I got here

17+ years ago

First flight, first obsession

Like most pilots, one flight was all it took. What started as a hobby quickly became a full-time pursuit of understanding the wing, not just flying it.

Instructor rating

Became an APPI Master Instructor

Certified internationally to teach the full range of paragliding disciplines — from first flights to advanced SIV and acro.

R&D pilot

Testing wings for Sky Paragliders

Working directly with manufacturers on wing behavior and safety gave me a deeper, technical understanding of exactly what happens during a collapse, spin or stall — knowledge that now shapes every SIV course I teach.

2018

Turkey Acro Champion

Competing at national level in acrobatic paragliding, combining precision maneuvers into judged sequences.

2020

3rd Place, Turkish XC Championship

Cross-country flying — reading the sky and making the right call kilometers from launch — remains one of my favorite things to teach.

Today

Based in Ölüdeniz, teaching year-round

Running SIV, Acro, Cross-Country and Beginner courses over one of the best flying sites in the world.

How I Teach

What you can expect from a course with me

We study before we fly

For SIV especially, we go through the manual together first — you'll never be asked to fly a maneuver you don't already understand.

Small groups, real coaching

You get radio contact in the air and a proper debrief on the ground — with your own flight footage, not a generic recap.

Safety without the fear

Every course is built around a full safety setup — boat crew, radios, and a progression that respects where you actually are as a pilot.
